TURP (Trans-Urethral Resection of Prostate) is a Endourological procedure in which the obstructing prostatic tissue is resected using a Resectoscope (Endoscope) inserted through the urethra. LASER Prostatectomy/TURP is a new technique in which the prostate is enucleated using LASER and prostate is removed using morcellator. It results in significantly less bleeding as well as other complications associated with conventional Monopolar TURP.
